About the University

Astrakhan State Medical University, founded in 1918, is one of the older and more respected medical institutions in the Russian Federation.

It is a government (public) university under the Ministry of Health of Russia.

The university offers a broad range of medical and health-sciences programs, including general medicine (MBBS), dentistry, pharmacy, preventive medicine, clinical psychology, pediatrics, nursing and more.

ASMU is internationally recognised, including by the WHO, and the Medical Council of India (NMC), which makes it a viable option for students from India and other countries.

Admission Process
